RiverSong: A Natural History

A visual and musical celebration of the variety and beauty along the Colorado River in the Grand Canyon. Actor Richard Chamberlain’s narration combines information about geology, archaeology, river rapids, animal and plant life, along with dramatic readings from the journal of John Wesley Powell, the Grand Canyon’s first explorer.

With a dramatic musical score by composer Arnold Black, which draws on influences ranging from Navajo chants to Debussy. This classic was first released in 1987, and won numerous awards at film festivals including Telluride MountainFilm.
